EADTU contributed to the 2nd World Open Educational Resources (OER) Congress ‘OER for Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education: From Commitment to Action,’ which took place from 18-20 September 2017 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Open and flexible distance higher education institutions by their inclusive pedagogical and organisational models are particularly suitable for students like refugees and migrants. They further create opportunities for refugees/ migrants of which several are specifically set-up for them. EADTU now published a list of related actions by its members.
The new Postgraduate Program of the Hellenic Open University Language Education for Refugees and Migrants (LRM) aims to provide specialized pedagogical knowledge to Greek and international teachers concerning learning and teaching second language to children and adults with a refugee or migrant background.

Many universities are involved in the field of Instructional Design and Technology (IDT). The journal on Educational Technology Research and Development published an article on this, examining the academic productivity of universities in IDT.
